Known for her highly individual vocal style, she’s considered one of the most accomplished interpretive folk-singers of the 1960’s. Many of her songs are topical and deal with social issues. She initially gained recognition at the 1959 Newport Folk Festival and at the 1969 Woodstock Festival. She released her first album Joan Baez in 1960. The Voice finalist Beverly McClellan live at The Dakota March 29th

  Did you watch the first season of NBC's The Voice?  Well if you did you have to be a fan of Beverly McClellan.  She was one of the four finalists that year and since then has gone on to release her new critically acclaimed CD "Fear Nothing", toured the U.S. as the opening act for Steve Vai and performed during Grammy week in Hollywood to sold out crowds.   Beverly returns to The Dakota Jazz Club this Friday at 8pm for a special early show.  This is one of the best venues in town to see any artist and Beverly will surely have this room rocking.  You can get all the details and tickets from the Dakota website (https://dakotacooks.com/event/beverly-mcclellan-2/)
